Since October 2008, I am assistant professor (Juniorprofessorin) at the Institute for Computer Science at the University of Freiburg.
From 2004-2008, I was working as a post-doctoral research associate at the Institute for Computer Science at the University of Freiburg in the DFG-funded research group "Humanoid Robots".
I am currently working on intuitive, multimodal interaction
between humanoid robots and humans. This includes problems such
as face and hand tracking, head posture estimation, and gesture
recognition.
I am furthermore interested in probabilistic
techniques for state estimation in the context of mobile
robotics, in artificial intelligence, in multi-robot systems,
and in vision-based systems.
