The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers from the different areas in robotics and let them report about relevant problems they suffered from while developing complex robotic systems. This includes open research questions but explicitly invites discussions about design decisions, integration issues, and similar challenges that occur when building robotic systems for long-term or highly precise operation. Our goal is to strengthen the discussions about the “lessons learned” from building robotic systems and to spread the insights that are often not included in scientific papers but which are so useful for others when building similar systems from scratch.
The workshop addresses robotics researchers at all levels that are faced with the problem of building large-scale complex robotic systems.
The researchers would potentially be from academia, governmental research labs or from the industry.
Additionally, this workshop hopes to bring out novel
research problems to inspire students and new researchers
in participating and contributing in the future.
